IN SHORT

Are you a creative and engaging educator who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of prison learners?

Teaching qualifications are a plus, but what truly matters is your dedication to reducing re-offending and ensuring that learners have a positive learning experience. If you are committed to inspiring and empowering individuals through innovative lessons, this is an incredible opportunity for you!

Join the dynamic team at HMP Grendon & Springhill as a Part Time Functional Skills Lecturer delivering Entry level English and Maths with MK College. In this role, you will have the chance to actively engage prison-based learners with your creative teaching methods and resources. Many of these learners have diverse needs and learning abilities, and may have had negative experiences with education in the past. As a successful tutor, you will have the opportunity to truly inspire them and provide a positive and enriching learning experience.

As a Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in supporting learners to achieve success and guiding them through their courses. Your impact will go beyond helping them obtain qualifications – you will also be empowering them with confidence and skills that they can apply to their future employment opportunities post-release, as well as to other areas within education.

At MK College Group, we are dedicated to reducing re-offending by equipping learners with the tools they need to learn and develop new skills. We invite you to be a part of our learners' journey by providing them with a positive and transformative learning experience. Join us in making a real difference in the lives of those seeking a fresh start through education and personal growth.

MK College will treat all applicants fairly and with respect, irrespective of their background, disability or any other individual characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from people with backgrounds which are currently under-represented within Milton Keynes College.  All offers made to successful candidates are subject to satisfactory outcomes to a range of pre-employment checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).   In addition, security clearance is required for all prison services positions up to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level.
